Act-Belong-Commit 2014 As We Are Art Award & Exhibition

The Act-Belong-Commit 2014 As We Are Art Award is almost here!   In it’s twelfth year, the Award is a state-wide annual art award and exhibition showcasing the artwork of more than 150 Western Australian artists who have an intellectual disability (aged 18+).  Entries include a range of mediums including photography, sculpture, textiles, painting, drawing and printmaking.

As We Are invites you to join us at the official opening and award presentation evening 6-8pm, Saturday 1st November 2014 (Central Park Building Foyer, 152-158 St Georges Terrace, Perth).  The exhibition will be officially launched by David Ansell, A/Deputy Director General of the Department of Culture and the Arts, and will include local music, refreshments and an opportunity to meet many of the participating artists.

And if you can’t make the opening, the exhibition is on for two weeks from the 2nd – 14th November, 10am – 4pm Monday to Saturday and 11am – 3pm Sunday.  Be sure to tell all your friends and family about it!
