Disability Awareness Week

Now in its third year, Disability Awareness Week recognises and shares the achievements of individuals, organisations, local and state government and communities in contributing to a better future for people with disability. The Commission sees a future where all people live in welcoming communities that facilitate citizenship, friendship, mutual support and a fair go for everyone.

Display kits promoting this vision and recognising the valuable contribution of people with disability, their families and carers ahve been sent to selected organisations across the state. The kits consist of tote bags, lapel badges, stickers, posters and a display box.
